The Penalties are Coming! The Penalties are Coming! What to Know and Be Prepared
On September 17, 2021, IDPH released a SIREN notification indicating that all skilled and intermediate care facilities are to complete the department’s Direct Care Staffing Ratio Excel spreadsheet and submit to the department on a quarterly basis. CY2021 Q3 Direct Care Staffing Ratio spreadsheet should be completed and submitted by December 1, 2021. The staffing ratio in Section 3-202.5(b-5) of the Act and this Section shall have residents be classified as requiring skilled or intermediate care.
