PDPM FOR LEADERS
Overview:
The Patient Driven Payment Model is the payment methodology used for traditional Medicare Part A residents, some managed care companies, and for some state Medicaid systems. This session will highlight what SNF leaders need to know and monitor for financial integrity and documentation compliance. We will discuss effective oversight of the MDS process and what data/reports exist that can be used for monitoring.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the basics of the Patient Driven Payment Model including MDS timing and submission.
- Understand the components of PDPM and what oversight might be needed from the leadership team.
- Discuss the importance of the triple check process and who should participate.
- Review the need for ongoing oversight and management of documentation and data needed in the PDPM process.
