OSHA Proposed Rule on Heat Injury and Illness Prevention

On August 30, 2024, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) published in the Federal Register a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for Heat Injury and Illness Prevention. The rule would require employers to create a plan to evaluate and control heat hazards in the workplace. In this member update, Kellie Van Ree, Director of Clinical Services at LeadingAge Illinois will review the proposed rule and discuss how this will impact members.  She also will present the requirements to develop a Heat Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
