The curriculum has been designed to give new and not-so-new Assisted Living operators and managers a deep dive into the Illinois’ Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act.

The IDPH team will provide an in-depth review of the Assisted Living Code, an overview of the survey process, the most problematic and frequently cited areas, and the Department’s expectations for achieving regulatory compliance. Life Safety Code survey process will also be addressed. Ample time will be allotted for participant questions.

Polsinelli attorneys will review the most common operational challenges that have led to significant liability, including navigating staffing issues and dealing with difficult families. They will discuss the forces impacting legal and regulatory compliance through case studies and other practical guidance and best practices to navigate these challenges.
