OVERVIEW
With CBD and cannabis use rapidly expanding, senior living leaders face growing challenges in balancing resident choice, safety, and compliance. This session will clarify the history, science, and legal landscape of CBD and marijuana-related products, review approved medical uses, and explore marketing versus evidence. Attendees will gain strategies to address resident use, reduce risk, and guide staff in navigating this evolving and often confusing area of care.

- Explore the marketing and efficacy of CBD and the legality of use of CBD in the nation

FACULTY
Rob Leffler is the Vice President of Clinical Services for Synchrony Pharmacy, a long-term care pharmacy that serves over 30,000 residents in 19 states and Washington DC. Rob graduated with a BS in Pharmacy from Butler University and since that time has spent the majority of his career in long-term care running pharmacies, as a consultant pharmacist, and leading clinical teams in the care of residents. As a pharmacist, he has participated as an educator for many organizations at their live meetings and through webinars. He is a Board-Certified Geriatric pharmacist, a Fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists and currently serves their President.
