NEW JOINT EMPLOYER STANDARD – ARE YOU IMPACTED?

 

National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued a Final Rule on the Standard for Determining Joint-Employer Status under the National Labor Relations Act. The rule replaces the final rule issued in 2020, which had itself modified the standard adopted during the Obama Administration. The new rule will now take effect on February 26, 2024 vs the original date of  December 26, 2023.  

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Determine if your organization may be considered a joint employer of a group of employees
  2. Define the essential terms and conditions to qualify as a joint employer
  3. Identify the impacts to your organization and changes to policies and practices to ensure compliance
