It’s Time to Start Preparing for the Significant Updates to the MDS 3.0 v1.18.11 Item Set
Webinar
June 7, 2023
1:00-2:30 p.m. CT
Annually, CMS anticipates releasing revised MDS Item Sets to enhance collection of resident information from nursing homes. However, due to the pandemic, CMS has not revised the MDS which is leading to significant changes post-pandemic. CMS has already released a draft version of the MDS Item Sets and anticipates releasing the draft Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) manual soon. This webinar will provide attendees updated coding and instructions based on the draft RAI manual to assist nursing home providers with preparation for the final release October 1, 2023, and aid in successful implementation. Identify the items from the IMPACT Act of 2014 that are now part of the MDS 3.0 v1.18.11 and their importance for LTC.
Learning Objectives
- Locate the guidance for these new items in the draft RAI User’s Manual.
- Discuss the changes to resident interviews with this version.
- Develop a training plan for staff involved in the RAI process in your facility.
