Care Compare January Refresh of SNF QRP Data Now Available
The January 2022 refresh of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Quality Reporting Program (QRP) data is now available on Care Compare and Provider Data Catalog (PDC). The data are based on quality assessment data submitted by SNFs to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from Quarter 3, 2020 through Quarter 1, 2021 (3 quarters). The data for the claims-based measures will continue to display Quarter 4, 2017 through Quarter 3, 2019 data for this refresh while CMS performs additional measure analyses. LeadingAge to Host Discussion on Insurance Rates at Affordable Housing Properties
On Tuesday, February 8 at 12 p.m. CST, there will be a discussion and brainstorm session on the rising cost of insurance for affordable housing properties. Since the start of the pandemic, many LeadingAge members have reported double-digit rate increases for property insurance premiums, as well as spikes in deductibles. During the call, hear from housing provider members who are implementing innovative strategies to keep insurance-related costs down in senior housing, and hear from the insurance community about loss control measures and expectations. CMS Updates Fact Sheet on Casper Reports for Hospices
To assist hospice providers in understanding and using the CASPER QM Reports that now include claims-based measures, CMS has updated this fact sheet to reflect the changes to the HQRP based on the (FY) 2022 Hospice Final Rule. This renamed and revised document, Getting Started with HQRP CASPER QM Reports can be found in the Provider Toolkit section of the HQRP Requirements and Best Practices webpage.

Funding Sign on Letter
LeadingAge signed on to a letter to Congressional leadership on the important of HCBS funding in the Senate version of Build Back Better. Over 250 groups signed the letter which can be found here.
