OVERVIEW
This webinar explores the complex psychosocial considerations surrounding Illinois’ End of Life Options Act for Terminally Ill Patients Act within long-term care environments. Designed for health care providers, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams, the session will address the emotional, ethical, and relational impacts on residents, their families and the staff who provide care. Understanding these psychosocial factors is essential as health care providers decide whether to allow medical aid in dying within their health care communities and what psychosocial services may be necessary to support impacted individuals.

FACULTY
Madison Campbell, MSN, RN, CHPN, UnityPoint Health – Abbe Center for Community Mental Health
Madison Campbell, MSN, RN, CHPN is a board-certified hospice and palliative care nurse with five years of clinical experience. She holds a BA in Psychology with Certification in Aging & Longevity and her Masters in Nursing from Trinity College (Rock Island, IL) where she is now an assistant professor of nursing. Madison has also been a part of the medical support staff at Abbe Community Mental Health since 2023 and has seen first hand the benefit of care coordination among psychiatric and end of life care. Additionally, she has worked in positions such as RN Case Manager, Home Care Visiting RN, Hospice House RN, and Clinic RN throughout her nursing practice.
